Tuscan Layered Pasta

This recipe is a basic recipe. You can add or season this dish with just about anything that suits your taste. Try puttanesca, which is adding olives, capers, and anchovies, or dices mozzarella. We work in New Orleans a lot, so we love Cajun seasonings. We love Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning, available just about anywhere.

Layer the following ingredients together:

  1. First add a tablespoon of good olive oil
  2. Grate one or two cloves of garlic
  3. Now chop a plump tomato
  4. Chop some fresh basil
  5. Your final layer is a layer of soft cheese such as Brie or Camembert

Now boil your pasta, drain and dump it into the bowl.  Hot pasta will melt the cheese. The oil, garlic, tomatoes and basil blend beautifully for a quick and delicious hot pasta dish. But wait there's more. Like revenge, this is a dish best served cold. Add shrimp, chicken or any type of protein that suits your tastes or diet.
