A porron is a Spanish drinking vessel used to drink wine or pour olive oil. They are beautifully made of hand blown glass and they are easy to learn.

Learn? Yes! But the learning curve of drinking from a porron is great fun. Proficiency takes one or two tries. Becoming an expert takes a bit longer but, oh, the fun you'll have. Getting good at this ancient "directly into the mouth" technique is easy, painless and occasionally messy. Bibs are recommended at first. Gravity does most of the work. Hold the porron close to your mouth but not actually making contact. Tilt your head back and pour directly into your mouth. Once you're good at it you extend your porron arm lengthening wine stream and impressing the heck out of your friends. Now pass the porron!
